Valya Dudycz Lupescu is the author of the Amazon bestselling novel The Silence of Trees (Wolfsword Press, 2010) and founding editor of Conclave: A Journal of Character. Valya earned her MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her poetry and prose have been published in literary and genre magazines, including Kenyon Review, Gone Lawn, Jersey Devil Press, Strange Horizons, Mythic Delirium, Scheherezade’s Bequest, Abyss & Apex, Fickle Muses, and others. Valya has been involved with the Chicago Literary Hall of Fame since its inception in 2009. Her latest book, cowritten with Stephen H. Segal, is Geek Parenting: What Joffrey, Jor-El, Maleficent, and the McFlys Teach Us about Raising a Family (Quirk Books, 2016). She can often be found online in the wee hours of the morning, fueled by coffee and writing while her children sleep.
