Today is the kids’ 100th day of school, and so they were asked to take a photograph with a collection of 100 things.
For those of you who know my kids, it should be no surprise the objects that each chose for their photo:
And then because I realized that I never post pics of my husband (we are terrible about taking photos of each other or together these days), here’s the love of my life and my partner in adventure, Mark (and Lana of course).

We, too, celebrated 100th day of school here in Laramie. Fun to see it was back in Chicago, too! Beautiful kids, no wonder, with you as their mom, and their dad is purty durn handsome, too!
We celebrated by combining math with 100 Fruit Loops that the children laid out on a 100 numbers chart, then strung into necklaces. The teacher put on Alphabet Rap and the kids started dancing at their tables as they made their edible necklaces. As they finished, one or two at a time would move onto the alphabet carpet to dance, Dylan and Talon break dancing. My favorite thing at school, other than coloring with colored pencils, is dancing with those children. Pretty soon all 19 were up, necklaces hanging out of their mouths, dancing up storm!

If you don’t find me there, I’m in a salon in Paris with Oscar Wilde. On our first trip to the City of Lights, I made a point of going to Pere Lachaise to pour a libation at Oscar’s tomb … I wanted to thank him for showing me that words have color and texture as well as meaning.
