Today is Release Day for GEEK PARENTING!

“Parenting is hard. It may not be “stop the supervillain and save the entire universe from destruction” hard. But it weighs just as heavy on our hearts. Parenting is what brings us to bookstores for self-help guides and propels us into conversations with other moms, dads, and guardians. Beyond advice about diaper brands and prom protocol, what are we looking for when we ask these kinds of questions? To know we’re not alone. To be reassured that we’re not the only ones afraid of screwing up our kids. To be reminded that even Wonder Woman’s mom made mistakes sometimes.” ~ GEEK PARENTING

Today is release day for GEEK PARENTING: What Joffrey, Jor-El, Maleficent, and the McFlys Teach Us about Raising a Family!

Stephen H. Segal and I are so excited to finally share it with you after all these many months of writing, revision, and preparation! Thank you to everyone who has helped us on this journey, friends and family, and especially the wonderful folks at Quirk Books: Jason Rekulak, Brett Cohen, Rick Chillot, Nicole De Jackmo Valentino, Julie Leung, Moneka Hewlett, Timothy O’Donnell, and Greg Christman, to name just a few.

We’ll be celebrating the release tomorrow, April 6th at the Free Library of Philadelphia and in Chicago on April 16th at The Book Cellar, plus several other cities throughout the year. We hope to see many of you along the way!

There’s an excerpt from the introduction on our website: geekparentingbook.com, if you’d like to take a peek. It’s also a good place to keep up with book signings and upcoming events.

Geek Parenting is a book written with a lot of love for the stories and characters that have shaped us and continue to shape younger generations. We hope that you’ll enjoy it.
